Born in Lausanne in 1991, Céline Dondénaz is graduated from ECAL/University of Art and Design of Lausanne in the Visual Communication department, major in Filmmaking. She has been drawing since she could hold a pencil, and since then she has cultivated a love for storytelling, which has grown into a passion for movie-making. Her diploma short film "On casse le ciel on prend un bout" won the 3rd prize in the school film category at the 42nd Schweizer Jugendfilmtage and has been screened at several international festivals. In parallel to the development of her first feature film, she uses analog photography to create in a more spontaneous way and draws her inspiration from youth, family unit as well as from the contemporary issues that trigger her.
